Social Events

To balance the challenging scientific programme two social events are planned for the meeting. These will be the Welcome Reception and the Gala Dinner. Full details will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.

Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception will take place on the evening of the 21st and is planned to take place at the newly built Spinnaker Tower. Delegates will be served drinks and snacks in the reception area and will then be able to ascend to the viewing deck over 100m above the docks to take in the views and experience the largest glass floor in Europe. The reception will be an informal evening allowing guests to meet and chat.  Afterwards there are many restaurants and bars in the Gunwharf Quays area for delegates to have dinner with friends.

Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner on the evening of the 22nd will take place in the Main Hall at the Portsmouth Guildhall. This is always a special evening with good food and wine. After dinner entertainmnet will be provided by a lively eight piece blues band. Places are limited so book early to secure your place!

Please note that this is a Black Tie event.
